GPH6000 / How can I update the OS?

Please update the product system to the latest version. Keep the product system up to date to maximize product safety.

The update file for this product is available for download from our website.

There are 2 ways to update the OS:
Update OS from PC
Update OS Using External Storage

Update OS from PC

NOTICE: Do not turn off the product while updating the system. Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

1) Connect your computer to the same network as this product and start a web browser.

2) Enter the URL below. And then log in the system settings as "admin".

3) From the menu, select Management.

4) Expand Main OS and click the Update button.

5) A dialog box will appear. Click Browse Image and select the update file (.img). Then click Browse MD5 and select the MD5 checksum file (.md5).

NOTE:

  • Prepare the MD5 checksum file beforehand and store it in the same external storage as the update file.
    On the Internet, find a tool to calculate the MD5 checksum of the file. On Windows 10, you can also use the "CertUtil" utility from the command line. For example:
    CertUtil-hashfilemainos.tar.imgMD5>mainos.tar. img.md5
    (Replace the underlined portions in the above command with the update file name.)
  • The MD5 checksum file should have the same name as the file to load, with the file extension ".md5".
  • The MD5 checksum file should have only one line. If the utility that calculates the checksum generates a file with multiple lines, delete the additional lines.

6) Restart the product.

Update OS Using External Storage

NOTICE: Do not turn off the product while updating the system. Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

Prepare external storage such as USB memory or an SD card in advance, and store the update file on them.

NOTE: Please format the external storage device with the FAT or FAT32 file system.

1) Turn off this product and connect the external storage.

2) Use the Tap-Tap operation to display the system settings. *For how to display the System Settings, refer to FAQ00028415 : GPH6000 / How can I display the System Settings?

3) Log in as "admin" and select Management from the menu.

4) Expand Main OS and touch the Update button.

5) A dialog box will appear. Touch Browse Image and select the update file (.img).

6) Restart the product.
