Background for Replaceable battery EOC
To comply with "EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 Article 11", all the battery used in product must be user replaceable. The article will be in effect from Feb. 18, 2027.
Therefore, the following actions are requited.
- Check the conditions of the battery replacement for each offer.
- Implement necessary actions (design change, EOC, etc.) well in advance before the due date (Feb. 18, 2027).
Implication of this regulation: We cannot keep selling battery accessories, to avoid that SE is categorized as “Battery Manufacturer”, which would mean we have to comply to further severe regulation.
