After powering up the GPH6000 Series for the first time, set up the system. In the System Settings, configure the settings for the product hardware, such as the IP address and internal clock.
There are 2 ways to do the initial setup:
- Set up on Device : directly on the product screen (HMI device)
- Set up via PC (Remote Setup) : remotely via a web browser on a connected computer (development environment)
Set up on Device
1) Power on the product.
2) The Authentication screen is displayed. Set the password for the administrator user account.
NOTE:
- Passwords should be at least 8 characters long and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
- You can change the password at any time.
- Please be careful not to forget your password. If you forget the administrator password, you will need to initialize the product. Initializing (device restore) the product will result in the loss of user data stored in the product.
3) The Welcomescreen is displayed. Touch SystemSettings.
4) The login screen is displayed. Enter the username "admin" and the password set earlier, then touch Proceed.
5) The system settings menu is displayed. From the menu, select Date & Time. To enter editing mode, in the top right-hand corner of the screen, touch EDIT.
Set the date and time for the product's internal clock. In the top of the screen, touch SAVE to save the changes.
6) From the menu, select Network. Select Network Interface and touch EDIT. Set the product's IP address, subnet mask, and so on. Touch SAVE to save the changes.
7) Change other settings as required.
8) From the menu, select EXIT. The Welcome screen is displayed.
9) Transfer the project file from the screen editing software.
Set up via PC (Remote Setup)
1) Connect this product with the computer over Ethernet. To connect the computer to the same network as the product, change the computer's IP address and subnet mask as follows.
IP address: 192.168.1.* (any address other than 192.168.1.100)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
NOTE: If you are using Windows 11, set the IP address as follows:
1) From the Start menu, select Settings > Network & Internet.
2) Click Properties next to Ethernet.
3) Click Edit next to IP Address Assignment, select Manual from the drop-down menu, and then click Save.
4) Enable IPv4, then enter the IP address, subnet mask, etc.

3) Open a web browser on the computer, and enter the following URL.
https://192.168.1.100/machine_config
4) When the connection is established, the HMI device sends a certificate to use for the encryption.
Since the certificate is not signed from a Certificate Authority you will get a warning message. Click on ADVANCED options and choose to proceed.
5) The login screen will be displayed. Enter the following initial password, and click Proceed.
Default username: admin
Default password: admin

NOTE: If you want to change the IP address, we recommend to first complete all the other necessary system settings.
10) From the menu, select EXIT. Return to the login screen.
11) Transfer the project file from the screen editing software. For information on how to transfer, refer to the manual of the screen editing software.
