— Empowering Amano Corporation’s ETC Payment Solutions
Challenge
As part of its parking system business, Amano launched the “ETCGO” solution, enabling ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) payments on toll roads and in parking facilities. This initiative required the development of a user-friendly terminal for toll booth operators. Given that many operators are older, a simple, intuitive interface was essential to ensure ease of use and reduce operational errors.
Solution
Mr. Akihiro Ebe, Manager of the Solution Sales Section at Amano’s Parking Business Headquarters, collaborated closely with Schneider Electric to design the user interface using Pro-face HMIs and screen design services.
Results
Pro-face HMIs delivered the high brightness and durability needed for reliable operation in demanding environments, including exposure to temperature fluctuations and vibration. Additionally, the ease of integration with control programming was a key factor in the selection process, supporting smooth implementation.
