1.1.3 For Those Using a Display Unit Supporting GP-Pro EX Ver.5.00 and Later

For the following models newly supporting GP-Pro EX Ver.5.00 and later, the display unit is equipped with System Settings separate from offline mode. For details about the functions that can be configured with System Settings, refer to the manual for the display unit.

Operating the Display Unit

• When you first turn ON the power after you purchase the display unit, the setup screen appears. For the setup procedure, refer to the manual for the display unit. The [Welcome] screen appears after you register an administrator account. Touch [Agree].

• To display System Settings after transferring the project file to the display unit, enter offline mode and touch [Display Unit] - [System Settings].

  For how to display System Settings after turning OFF the power of the display unit, refer to the manual for the display unit.

• Configure the following in the System Settings, not in offline mode.

• Main Unit - Ethernet settings

• Maintenance Menu - Calibrate Touch Panel

• The [Date and Time] in the [System Settings] synchronizes with the Time Setting in offline mode. We recommend adjusting the time setting in offline mode after the project file is transferred.
  M.2.2 Adjusting the clock on the Display

• We recommend using the Port Control feature in GP-Pro EX to control communication and prevent unauthorized access.

• Do not use the following Ethernet port numbers in a project file because these Ethernet port numbers are used by the display unit system.

• When the display unit is in standby mode (backlight is OFF), the status LED flashes in green (ON/OFF every 3 seconds).

Display Unit Functions

• You cannot print display unit screens or saved data by connecting a printer to the display unit.

• When handling files with File Manager, the [Read-only] attribute set on files in Windows is not supported. Therefore, when copying files set to [Read-only] to external storage, the display unit can write and delete those files.

• The following Transfer Tool functions are not supported.

• Maintenance Menu - In offline mode, Memory Info does not display the NAND USE/TOTAL information.
