You can set an expiration date for the password when using User ID-Enhanced. This function requires that passwords be changed after a certain duration to enhance security.
Setting the Password Expiration
Set the password in the [Extended] dialog box in [Password Settings].
Enable [Enable Password Expiration] to set an expiration date for the password. In the [Duration] field, enter the number of days remaining until the expiration date.
Password Expiration Notification
The error message "RAAA185" will appear when attempting to log in with less than 7 days remaining until the expiration date.
RAAA185: Please change the password. The password is about to expire.
Attempting to log in after the expiration date has passed will cause the login to fail and the error message "RAAA186" to appear.
RAAA186: Please change the password. The password has expired.
Even if the expiration date passes while logged in, you will not be automatically logged out or shown an error message.

Operations that reset the expiration date
The following operations will reset the number of days until the expiration data for all users:
Transferring project files (*except when transferring projects backed up to the display unit)
Changing passwords using configuration files
Backup Memory (SRAM) Initialization
