M.16 Brightness and Contrast Adjustment Settings Guide

For the SP5000 Series Open Box, IPC Series, and PC/AT, you cannot adjust the screen brightness and contrast for the display unit by using the Brightness/Contrast control bar.
Refer to the "SP5000 Series Open Box Reference Manual" when you want to adjust the brightness of the SP5000 Series Open Box. You can download the manual from our support site (http://www.pro-face.com/trans/en/manual/1001.html).
For the SP5000 Series Open Box, IPC Series, and PC/AT, the Brightness/Contrast control bar displays the EZ Illuminated Switch settings menu when the EZ Illuminated Switch is connected.

Manual / Auto

Select whether to set the brightness manually or to adjust it automatically based on changing lighting conditions.

Manual

Specify the brightness of the display screen or EZ Illuminated Switch.

Auto

The brightness sensor detects the lighting conditions around the display unit, and changes the brightness of the display screen or EZ Illuminated Switch.

For the display screen, select the brightness from either [Dark], [Standard], or [Bright].

This setting appears only when you use a display module with a brightness sensor.
1.5.3.2 SP5000 Series
Manual/Auto settings apply to display units and EZ Illuminated Switches.
Because the display screen and EZ Illuminated Switch have different brightness ranges, if you select [Auto], there may be instances when only the display unit brightness changes.
The brightness increases or decreases by units of 10 if you hold down the plus (+) or minus (-) button.

Display / Illuminated Switch

Select either [Display] or [Illuminated Switch] for the brightness settings.

This property appears only when you connect the EZ Illuminated Switch to the display unit.

Brightness

Adjusts the brightness of the display unit or EZ Illuminated Switch.

Display: Specifies the brightness level from 0 to 100.
Illuminated Switch: Specifies the brightness level from 0 to 2.

To adjust the brightness of the EZ Illuminated Switch, configure the Illuminated Switch settings in GP-Pro EX.

Brightness

Specify the brightness level from 0 to 15.

The range of brightness you can set for some of the display units is different. The following lists models compatible with dimmer settings and brightness ranges you can set up.
1.5 Supported Features
When the display type is TFT, as you can only adjust the [Brightness] level, the menu is as follows.

Contrast

Adjust the contrast of the display unit. This menu is displayed when the arrow button is touched.

When the display type is TFT, you cannot adjust the [Contrast].
