Hardware Configuration provides access to system settings and other features.
Before using the display unit, first define its settings from Hardware Configuration.
Display Hardware Configuration
There are two ways to display the Hardware Configuration screen.
Within 0.5 seconds, touch the top-right then bottom-left corners, or the top-left and bottom-right corners (within a 40 pixel area) of the screen.
When using SP5000 Series Open Box (Windows 10 IoT Enterprise Model) or IPC Series, you have 5 seconds to touch the top-right then bottom-left, or top-left then bottom-right corners.
When you set the [Security Level] in the screen
editing software, only users that satisfy the specified security
level can use touch gestures to display Hardware Configuration.
If you use touch gestures to try and enter Hardware Configuration
and the security level is insufficient, a message box appears
from which you can log in with a different user.
When the Hardware Configuration [Security Level] is set to 0, anyone
can access Hardware Configuration.
In the screen editing software, if [Display
Hardware Configuration] is disabled you cannot use touch gestures
to display the Hardware Configuration screen. To be able to display
Hardware Configuration while in this state, draw a Hardware Configuration
object on a screen or content. Without the ability to display
the Hardware Configuration screen, you may not be able to run
Ethernet transfer.
(To run Ethernet transfer, operations are required on both
the screen editing software and Hardware Configuration screen.)
The [Display Hardware Configuration] and [Security Level] settings apply when using touch gestures to display the Hardware Configuration screen. These settings do not apply to Hardware Configuration objects on a screen.
Locate the [Security Level] and [Display Hardware Configuration] settings as follows.
In the Project Explorer window, from [System Architecture] click [Target01].
In the Properties
window, go to [Function] tab ➞ [Options] tab ➞ [Preference].
Target Settings
You can also access Hardware Configuration by drawing a Hardware Configuration object on a screen.
The content available in the Hardware Configuration object is called the Hardware Configuration screen.
The following settings and operations are available on the Hardware Configuration screen.
