System Requirements for Screen Editing Software

The following table lists the system requirements for screen editing software.

*1 The screen editing software installed on Windows Server 2022 does not support the simultaneous connection of multiple users.

*2 When installing the screen editing software, .NET Framework Ver.4.7.2 full is automatically installed. For disk space requirements, visit the Microsoft website.

Note:

This product must be installed and configured by qualified software installation personnel with administrator rights.
The software installation file is configured with a digital signature. If any issue regarding the digital signature arises during installation, cancel the installation and contact customer support.

System Requirements for Runtime Application (BLUE Runtime)

The runtime application (BLUE Runtime) operating environment is as shown in the table below. For information about BLUE Runtime setting, see the following.

Important:

BLUE Runtime version 3.4 Service Pack 1 or later runs on Windows 10.
Therefore, if a project is transferred to the BLUE Runtime on an operating system before Windows 10, on updating the BLUE Runtime it will no longer start.
If the BLUE Runtime does not start, recover using the following methods.

When using SP5000 Series:
Execute system recovery.
When using IPC or PC/AT:
Uninstall the BLUE Runtime and then reinstall the earlier version of the BLUE Runtime using its associated BLUE Runtime installer.

Except for the operating system, some supported IPC Series models do not meet the below recommended specifications. However, we confirmed the BLUE Runtime does work correctly on the IPC Series models too.

License

A license is required to use the Screen Editing Software and Runtime Application. For information on the types of licenses available for purchase, please refer to the following website.
BLUE

The following types of licenses are available.

Permanent License

Allows permanent use of the screen editing software or runtime application. The major version of the screen editing software or runtime application must be the same as the permanent license.

Subscription License

Screen editing software can be used on a monthly or yearly basis. Subscription licenses can be used with any version of the screen editing software as long as it is within the subscription period. Find the expiration date on the application Toolbar, under [About...].

Note: The license must be approved by the license activation software (HMI License Manager). Refer to the license activation software manual.
