HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, OR ARC FLASH
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
|
-
The SG (signal ground) and PE/FG (protective earth/functional ground) terminals are connected internally in this product.
-
When the PE/FG terminal is connected, be sure the wire is grounded. Not grounding this product can result in excessive electromagnetic interference (EMI).
-
Make sure the ground wire is either the same or heavier gauge than the power wires.
-
Do not use aluminum wires in the power supply's power cord.
-
Use copper wire rated for 75 °C (167 °F) or higher.
-
The conductor type of DC power cord is solid or stranded wire.
-
If the ends of the individual wires are not twisted correctly, the wires may create a short circuit. When inserting a wire into the DC power connector, hold down the opening button and insert the wire while the internal spring is depressed. Alternatively, you can crimp and insert either a pin terminal or ferrule terminal.
-
Use the SELV (Safety Extra-Low Voltage) circuit and LIM (Limited Energy) circuit for DC input.
-
Use a maximum 20 A branch circuit protective device for AC input.
-
AC models obtain UL certification for use in environments rated at Overvoltage Category II or lower.
