About PDF Viewer

Use the PDF Viewer object to open and view PDF files, navigate pages, and zoom in and out.

Note:

  • For models that support the PDF Viewer object, refer to the following.
    Supported Model/Feature List 
  • Only one PDF Viewer can be used per screen.

PDF Files to Display

Save PDF files to display onto USB storage device or an SD card and attach it to the display unit. Specify the path and file name of the PDF in the PDF Viewer's [Directory Path] and [File Name] properties.

Note:

  • The maximum limits for PDF files you can display are as follows. PDF files that exceed these limits cannot be opened.
    • Maximum file size: 50 MB
    • Maximum number of pages: 999
    • Maximum page size: A3 (297 x 420 mm / 11.69 x 16.54 in)
  • The total length of the directory path and file name must be less than 256 characters.
  • Password-protected PDF files cannot be opened.
  • As PDF files are treated as images, native PDF features such as hyperlinks are not supported.

PDF Operations

Use the PDF Viewer toolbar to navigate between pages and zoom in and out. To display the toolbar at runtime, in the PDF Viewer properties, select the [PDF Operations] check box. At runtime, the toolbar appears in the bottom-right corner of the PDF Viewer object. To hide the toolbar, click or touch the close button, or anywhere outside the PDF Viewer. The toolbar reappears when you click or touch inside the viewing area.
