Adjusting the Clock

You can set the date and time on the display unit.

This section explains how to configure Date and Time, Time Zone, and Daylight Saving Time.

Note:

  • To change the clock on the SP5000 Series Open Box (Windows 10 IoT Enterprise Model), IPC Series, or PC/AT, log in to the operating system with a user account that has administrator rights.
  • When using the SP5000 Series Open Box (Windows 10 IoT Enterprise Model), IPC series, or PC/AT, you cannot change the setting for the time zone or daylight saving time.
Make these changes using the Windows [Date & time settings].
  • When changing the clock in the display unit, depending on the timing, some features that use the clock data may be affected.
The logging data and alarm data appear as invalid data when the data is not in chronological order before and after changing the clock.
Also, when displaying past logging data using the historical trend graph, there may be cases where the graph does not display properly.

Date and Time Range

Range: 1970/01/01 00:00:00 .... 2037/12/31 15:00:00

Note: The maximum date and time changes depending on the selected time zone.

(Example: For time zone (UTC)+09:00, the maximum date is 2038/01/01 00:00:00)

Time Zone

You can set the standard time of the display unit using the time difference from the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) of the region where the display unit is installed.

To change the time zone settings:

  1. Touch the [...] button on the right-hand side of the [Date/Time] field.
  2. Select the desired time zone in the [Time Zone].

Daylight Saving Time

You can set to use daylight saving time.

To set daylight saving time:

  1. Touch the [...] button on the right-hand side of the [Date/Time] field.
  2. Touch the [...] button on the right-hand side of the [Time Adjustment] field.
  3. From [Type], select either the [Rule] or [Date].
[Rule]: Set the daylight saving time period according to the rule predefined in each region.
[Date]: Set the start and end day of the daylight saving time for that year.
  4. Set the start date and time, and the end date and time, for daylight savings.
When the [Type] is [Rule], select the week, day of the week, month, and time.
When the [Type] is [Date], select the month, day, and time.
  5. In the [Amount of Time (Minutes)] field, set the amount of time (from -120 to 120 minutes) to add or subtract at the start and end of daylight saving time.
  6. At the top of the screen, touch the [Save] button.

Note: This is set so that the start and end of summer daylight saving time is not adjusted out of the current year. If the start and end are adjusted to 2 different years, the time will not be adjusted properly.

(Example: [Subtract Date]: 2015/1/1, [Subtract Time]: 00:30, [Amount of Time]: 60 minutes.)
