To add security to projects, add a project password, required to open a project.
NOTICE |
|
Store the password in a secure location. Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage. |
You cannot open the project without the project password.
You can set up a project password either in the project properties, or when saving or transferring the project.
Select the [Set up Password] option.
Define the password required to open the project. Store the password in a secure location.
Select the [I understand the risk of losing my password] check box and click [OK].
The above steps are for when the [Confirm on Saving] or [Confirm on Transferring] check boxes are selected.
If you set a project password during a transfer operation, the password is not saved until you save the project file after the transfer operation.
Using a project password is strongly recommended for setting up a secure environment. Additionally, you may want to enter a [Hint (Optional)] to help you remember the password.
To change the password, in the [Properties] window, click the ellipsis beside the [Project Password] field.
When [Project Password] is [Disable], [Confirm on Saving] and [Confirm on Transferring] check boxes are available. When selecting a [Confirm on Saving] or [Confirm on Transferring] check box, a confirmation message appears on either saving or transferring the project.
