When replacing the hardware from GP2000/77R/70 series to GP3000 series, there are important notes shown below. |
|
● Communication settings | ● | The default setting of communication settings differs between GP-PRO/PB3 for Windows and GP-Pro EX as below. | | | GP-Pro/PB3 | GP-Pro EX | Wait to Send | 0msec | 0msec | Timeout | 10sec | 3sec | Retry | 2 | 2 | | ● | In case that the below settings are wrong with GP-Pro/PB3, please change them to the correct settings. | | | Wrong Settings | Correct Settings | Bit Length | 7 | 8 | Flow Control | XON/XOFF | NONE
● Supported devices | ● | With GP-Pro EX, the bit device and the word device will be displayed as below. | | | GP-Pro/PB3 | GP-Pro EX | Address String | Address String | CPU ID | Bit Device | 01/R00100 | %R00001.00 | 0 | Word Device | 16/R00115 | %R00001.15 | 15 | | | * | With GP-PRO/PB3, the unit numbers (CPU ID) are set with from 1 to 32. With AGP, only 16 units can be set. In case that more than CPU ID of 17 units are set with AGP, it is not possible to open with the editor.
● Warning messages of [Project Conveter] | ● | When a project file of GP-PRO/PB3 will be converted by [Project converter], these messages will show in following cases. | | Message | Description | A communication setup which cannot be set up is registered. It returned to the default. | You may have set the fixed parameters (the data length, the flow control) with the values which are not the standard values. Or you may have converted the project file which has been set with the transmision speed which can not be supported. | The configuration of "Idle Time (Sec.)" is set to "5" as default. Please check on the editor of GP-Pro EX. | GP-PRO/PB III doesn’t support the setting of “Idle Time(Sec)”. When converting, the value is set to be the default value.
