T.2.4.2 Has the IP address been set for the PC?

Cause

To transfer project files with an Ethernet cable, you need to set the IP address for the PC.

Solution

Set the IP address for the PC.

• Setting the IP address for the PC

1. From the [Settings] on your PC, select [Network & Internet], and then select [Advanced network settings]. Expand [Ethernet].

2. Right-click [More adapter options] and click [Edit].

3. When [Ehernet Properties] appears, select [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)] and click the [Properties] button.
   

4. Select [Use the following IP address] and specify the IP address and subnet mask. (Example: 192.168.0.100, 255.255.255.0) Click the [OK] button to complete the setting.
    

   

   • For details about the IP address setting, ask your network administrator.

   

• Checking whether the IP address is set properly for the PC

Execute the IPCONFIG command at the command prompt.

1. At the command prompt, type "ipconfig" and press the Enter key.

2. The result of the command execution is displayed. Check whether the displayed IP address and subnet mask are the same as those set for the GP. If they are different, restart the computer.
