Expansion units can only be used on the GP6000 Series (Advanced Models).
If you execute Restore with the System Settings of the display unit, the backup memory expansion unit is initialized. As needed, back up the data on the backup memory to external storage before initialization. For details about backup memory (SRAM), please see the following.
2.3 About the Display Unit's Internal Data
The consistency of the expansion unit is verified when the display unit is started up. If you remove or replace a used backup memory expansion unit, an error message appears. Initialize the backup data and restart the display unit. If you do not want to initialize the backup data, power off the display unit without pressing the [OK] button to reset the display unit and expansion unit configuration and restart the display unit.
If you have been operating the display unit with two backup memory expansion units installed, you must replace both backup memory expansion units. If you replace only one backup memory expansion unit, an inconsistency cannot be detected when the display unit is started up. The system may malfunction, and unintended backup data may be used to start operations. If you accidentally replaced only one backup memory expansion unit, initialize the backup memory. Furthermore, if the display unit detects an inconsistency, restart the display unit in recovery mode and transfer the project data again to restore it.
