You can configure the details of the USB barcode reader in System Architecture.
In the Project Explorer window, go to [System Architecture] and click [Accessories].
On the System Architecture editor toolbar, click [USB Barcode Reader].
In the Properties window, configure the properties below.

You can set up the following destinations for data entered from a USB barcode reader. Select [Objects] or [Variable].
| [Scanned String] |
You can set up internal STRING variables for data entered from a USB barcode reader. Setup is possible only when [Variable] is selected in [Save Data In].
| [Scanned String (bytes)] |
To count the characters, set up an internal integer variable as the save destination for the counted value. Setup is possible only when [Variable] is selected in [Save Data In].
| [Key Code] |
Select the keyboard layout. Select [English 101] or [Japanese 106].
