Configuring Ethernet Settings

You can assign an IP address to the display unit and define settings for Ethernet communication. These settings are used for communicating with external device, or downloading a project file.

Note:

  • On supported models, you can update Ethernet settings by using the transfer operation. For models that support Ethernet Settings Transfer, see the following.
    Supported Model/Feature List
  • When using ST6000 2nd Gen Series
    • First, enable the Ethernet port by selecting [Enable] from the [Port] field. Touch the […] ellipsis on the right-hand side of the [Ethernet] field to display the [Port] field.
    • You can configure Ethernet settings in either the Hardware Configuration screen or the display unit's [System Settings]. The system automatically reboots when the settings are updated in the Hardware Configuration screen. If you update the settings from [System Settings], you must reboot the system manually.

To assign an IP Address:

  1. On the display unit, open the Hardware Configuration screen.
  2. Touch the IP address in the [Ethernet1] field to display a keypad.
  3. Enter the IP address.

Note: The IP address should be in nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn format, where 'nnn' is a number between 0 to 255.

  4. Touch the [Save and Reboot] button. The changes are saved and the runtime application restarts.

Note: When communicating over an Ethernet connection, communication may not be possible depending on the configuration of the destination device. If communication is not possible, try the following:

    • If you are directly connected to the destination device via an Ethernet cable, use an Ethernet Switch.
    • Match the [Auto Negotiation], [Speed Setting] and [Duplex Setting] settings with the destination device.
  4. At the top of the screen, touch the [Save and Reboot] button. The changes are saved and the runtime application is restarted.
