Editing Compound Objects

Follow the steps below to edit compound objects.

  1. To open the Compound Object Explorer, click the  drop-down icon > [Open Compound Object Explorer] or use the shortcut key CTRL+SHIFT+O.

Note: The Compound Object Explorer is independent of a project. You can open the Compound Object Explorer when a project is closed, and also when a project is open.

  2. From the Compound Object Explorer, expand the [Compound Object Library] node.
  3. Double-click one of the listed compound objects to display the compound object in the compound object editor.
  4. Make the necessary changes to the compound object.
  5. Click the  save icon to save the changes. To apply the changes to the same objects already used in a project, select the option to overwrite the existing objects.

Note:

  • If you want to modify a compound object that has been placed on a screen or content in a project, modify the original compound object in the [Compound Object Library] node. When saving the changes, select the option to overwrite the existing object in the project. You can also select the overwrite option when you copy or drag and drop a compound object from the [Compound Object Library] node to the [Project Compound Object] node.

  • If the original compound object does not exist in the [Compound Object Library] node, drag it from the [Project Compound Objects] node and drop it into the [Compound Object Library] node.

  • When a compound object is modified in editing mode, the pencil icon is displayed.

  • In editing mode, move the mouse over the compound object node to display the X icon. Click the X icon to close the compound object.

  • If settings are not compatible with a compound object, a red icon displays on the compound object node.
  • You can open a maximum 9 Compound Objects.
  • Compound objects stored in a previous version of the Compound Object Library will not appear in the latest version. If you want to use a stored compound object, please import it.
