Create a Block Trend Graph

To create a Block Trend object:

  1. In Tool Chest window, go to [Parts] and click Block Trend object.
  2. In Properties window, go to [Function] tab ➞ [Basic] tab and configure the below properties:
    Property Description
    [Channels] Set the number of channels to be drawn.
    [Display Mode]
    Mode Description
    [Full] The channels are plotted in the entire graph area.
    [Divide] The channels are plotted in the divided graph area.
    [Min Global Range] Set the minimum value for the data range.
    [Max Global Range] Set the maximum value for the data range.
    [Number of Data Points] Set the number of data points to be drawn. 1: Number of Data Points

Configuring Channel Properties

To configure the channel properties of a Block Trend object:

Note: The maximum number of channels (number of lines) that can be displayed on a Block Trend object is 32.

 

  1. In Properties window, go to [Function] tab ➞ [Basic] tab ➞ [Channels] and click [Channel *].

    Note: * refers to channel number.

  2. Select an array in the [Variable] field (Example: Var1).

  3. Set the desired value for [Start Element] and [Number of Display Data].

  4. Select the desired shape in the Display Format.

    Display Format (Example)
    [Line]
    [Square]
    [Bar]
  5. Set the [Stroke Color] for the channel.
  6. Set the [Fill Color] between each data point of the selected line shape.

    1: Fill Color
    If the [Display Format] and Variable are same for two or more channels, then the data points are overlapped and the [Fill Color] of last channel is displayed in the graph.
  7. Select the [Mark] symbol to mark data points in line graph.

Global Range Settings

  1. To configure global range settings for each channel of a Block Trend object.
  2. In Properties window, go to [Function] tab ➞ [Basic] tab ➞ [Channels] and click [Channel *].

    Note: * refers to channel number.

  3. Enable [Use Global Range].

Note: When [Use Global Range] check box is selected, the block trend uses the [Min Global Range] and [Max Global Range] values. When [Use Global Range] is not selected, set the [Minimum] and [Maximum] values.

To set the [Data Range] for each channel:

In Properties window, go to [Function] tab ➞ [Basic] tab, set the [Minimum] and [Maximum] range values.

Note: You need to create Block Trend operation to display the graph in Block Trend.
