Use the EcoStruxure Machine Expert software for the External Device to define its communication settings. Please refer to the External Device manual for more details.
Start EcoStruxure Machine Expert and create a new project.
From the [View] menu, select [Navigators]-[Devices tree].
From the [Devices tree], double-click the [MyController].
Click [Controller selection].
Right-click the External Device, and select [Change device name].
Input the [Device name].
Click [OK].
When the External Device uses the UserManagement function, input the login information in “Username” and “Password” under the driver property of BLUE or hardware configuration for Display.
Clear the "Encrypted communication" check box in either the driver's equipment properties in BLUE, or in the Hardware Configuration. Encrypted communication is not available.
