Use the EcoStruxure Machine Expert software for the External Device to define its communication settings. Please refer to the External Device manual for more details.
Start EcoStruxure Machine Expert and create a new project.
Select [New] in the [Communication Parameters] window.
Select "Tcp/Ip" from the [Device] and change the name to a significant name in the [Name].
Click [OK]. The entry is inserted in the Channels tree view.
Click on [Value] in the [Address] line.
Double-click to change it to an
input field in which you can change the IP address.
The port must be set to 5000 (standard setting; do not change); the
Motorola byte order is "No".
In the left field, select the connection and click [OK].
In the [Online] menu choose menu item [Login] to establish a connection to the PacController.
