Define the communication settings for the External Device using the engineering software MELSOFT GX Works3.

Start up the engineering software.
From the tree view, expand the [Parameter], and then from [Module Information] double click [ADP1:FX5-485ADP].
In the [ADP1:FX5-485ADP Module Parameter] window, specify the following parameters.
