Use the LS ELECTRIC setting tool (XG5000) to configure communication settings on the External Device.
Refer to your External Device manual for details.
Start up the setting tool.
From the [Project] menu, select [New Project].
Set "PLC Series" and "CPU type", and click [OK].
In the tree view, double-click [I/O Parameter].
Set the link I/F you are using and click [Apply].
In the tree view, right-click [Network Configuration] and from the shortcut menu select [Add Item]-[Network].
For the [Network Type] select "Cnet", and click [OK].
Right-click the newly created network and from the shortcut menu select [Add Item]-[Communication Module].
For the [PLC type] select the newly created PLC, and click [OK].
From the tree view, in the newly created network double-click PLC to display the [Standard Settings - Cnet] dialog box.
Set [Channel 2] setup items as follows, and click [OK].

From the [Online] menu, select [Write].
Select the External Device, and click [OK].
Restart the External Device.
