Use the dip switch on the CPU and the ladder software (GMWIN) to configure communication settings for the External Device.

Start up the ladder software.
Create the project. Select the using External Device.
Select [Communication Parameters] from [Parameter] tab of tree view.
Select [Channel 0] in [Communication Parameter Selection] dialog box.
