Connection Configuration
- When using the communication adapter (NX-CL1,
NX-CR1) or the ports 3 and 4 of the communication box (NX-CB1),
you need to use a switching HUB supporting the 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T
auto negotiation function.

Supported Devices
Range of supported device address is shown in the table below. Please
note that the actually supported range of the devices varies depending
on the External Device to
be used. Please check the actual range in the manual of your External Device.

UNINTENDED EQUIPMENT OPERATION
- Do not simultaneously write to the same register
from Display
and External Device
program.
- Do not write 16-bit word values to registers
being accessed in a bitwise manner.
Backing Up and Restoring IP Address Settings
The IP address setting of the External Device can be backed up to the
Display.
On the Hardware Configuration screen, you can edit the backed up IP address
setting or restore the IP address to the External Device.
Backing Up IP Address Settings
Touch [IP Address settings for NX Series] on the Hardware Configuration
screen.
When [Backup] is touched on the displayed screen, the IP address setting
of the External Device
is backed up. The backed up IP address setting is displayed on the Hardware
Configuration screen.
Restoring IP Address Settings
Touch [IP Address settings for NX Series] on the Hardware Configuration
screen.
When [Restore] is touched on the displayed screen, the IP address setting
of the External Device
is restored.
- Backing up and restoring the IP address setting
can be performed for the External Device
of the same system configuration. The backed up IP address setting
cannot be restored to an External Device
of a different system configuration.
- Backing up and restoring the IP address setting
is unique for each Ethernet Card. The backed up IP address setting
cannot be restored to an External Device
which is connected to another Ethernet Card.
- When the backed up setting is not displayed on
the Hardware Configuration screen, touching [Restore] will not
work.
- When using multiple chains to connect multiple
External Device
to one Ethernet Card, backing up and restoring IP address settings
is not possible.
- You can also back up and restore IP address settings
using the [Azbil] operation in a script.
